Chiropractors assess disorders related to the spine, nervous system, and joints of the extremities, and provide diagnosis, treatment and prevention of those disorders. The primary goal of chiropractic adjustment, also referred to as manipulation, is to treat areas of decreased movement in the joints of the body, particularly the spine, which can create a reaction in surrounding tissues (ligaments, muscles and nerves) resulting in pain, dysfunction and muscular spasm. Some conditions chiropractors can help with are headaches, migraines, neck stiffness and pain, upper back pain, shoulder pain, low back pain, hip pain, sciatica, knee pain, ankle and foot pain.

Dr. Farah Sayani has been at Georgia & Thurlow Chiropractic since 2011. She graduated Magna Cum Laude from Western States Chiropractic College. Dr. Sayani became a chiropractor after she had exceptional results from chiropractic treatment for low back pain and she felt that if a natural hands on approach to health care could help her so dramatically, she would love to help others find relief by providing chiropractic care. Dr. Sayani has seen many different types of problems in her time as a chiropractor and has learned lots of tricks to help patients get better. Dr. Sayani uses a variety of chiropractic techniques, a number of sophisticated modalities, and provides auxillary treatments like ART (Active Release Technique), shockwave therapy and computerized gait scanning to help her get you better.

Reyna completed her Masters of Physical Therapy at the University of British Columbia and her Bachelor of Management at UBC Okanagan. From personal experience with injury and recovery, Reyna believes that participating in physical therapy strongly promotes wellness in many aspects of life.

Reyna is passionate about inspiring others to achieve their chosen goals. She approaches her clients with positivity, helping them to gain confidence in their abilities. From that perspective, Reyna collaborates with clients to discover the therapies that will suit them optimally. Reyna has particular interest in helping people suffering from neck and back pain, whether due to postural issues orinjuries. Using manual therapy techniques such as mobilizations, soft tissue release, exercise prescription and activity recommendations, Reyna empowers her clients to improve their wellbeing. She also has experience with musculoskeletal injury, neurological rehabilitation, post-operative recovery, and return to work planning.

In her recreational time, Reyna plays beach volleyball and enjoys outdoor adventures with family and friends. She loves to try new things, whether it’s cooking at home or exploring local events.
